Congratulations! If you've made it this far and are confident that your cause is a good candidate for an eBay Foundation grant, you are almost ready for the application on the next page. Following is additional information about the application process.

Deadlines

In 1999, the eBay Foundation is planning on awarding grants each quarter. The proposal deadline for July funding is June 15th , 1999. The amount granted will be based on the number of applications that meet our guiding principles and funding focus. Grant amounts may vary per quarter.

Review Process

Proposals are evaluated against the Guiding Principles. They are then passed on to the eBay Foundation Governance Committee, which represents a cross-section of employees from various departments and levels. In some instances, a site visit to your agency may be requested by eBay.

Evaluation

We look forward to seeing how the programmes we fund unfold and we plan to share the ideas and successes of grant recipients with others in the eBay community. At the conclusion of the funding year, grant recipients will be asked to provide the eBay Foundation with a summary of accomplishments. The Foundation will share the recipients’ accomplishments with the eBay community and will use this information to evaluate future applications. We will also happily share the feedback we receive from people who benefited from the Foundation’s grants.
